Double Trouble WingWalking Team

GOLDEN AGE SOLO
Walt takes the audience back in time to the Golden Age of Aviation (1930s) where Barnstormers ruled the skies as they amazed their spectators with acrobatics and maneuvers that are still at the heart and soul of modern-day air shows. (approx. 12 minutes)

WING WALKING
For an up-to-date schedule of where we'll be performing,
please go here...
It's all about YOU and YOUR AUDIENCE...
You and your airshow guests get the best of all worlds with American Barnstormer.  Your crowd is at the forefront of our thoughts when designing our airshow performances, from choreography to costuming to narration - your guests will have no trouble seeing the wing walker(s) on the Stearman.  Your audience will witness our wing walker(s) moving about the airplane right in front of their eyes -  they'll get to see our many transitions both between the wings and up to the top rack, leaving them watching in wonder at this rare spectacle (see brief video below to witness these transitions from the crowd's perspective).

Experience the difference...
Give your airshow audience a real treat with the best combination of wing walking transitions, stunts, and aerobatics.  While some other teams only perform at the javelin and in front of the top rack, the American Barnstormer wing walkers go the distance for your crowd and hit two more locations on the Stearman:  the back of the rack and the N-strut at the wingtip.  Moving between these 4 distinct points on the plane, coupled with some long-lost stunts and old-fashioned aerobatics, makes for a much more complete wing walking demonstration than your crowd would experience otherwise.

New in 2010:  Comedy Wing Walk (see bottom of page)

Solo Wing Walker:

Following the lead of great historic wing walkers like Ormer Locklear and Jessie Woods of the 1920s, our wing walker performs both atop Ol’ Smokey as well as between the wings. Braving the unyielding winds, she performs both classic wing walking stunts (such as the top wing aerobatics and inverted pass), as well as more rare maneuvers (like the Daring Javelin Hang) in her amazing display with Pilot Walt.  This duo will leave your crowd in awe!

"I'd heard nothing but praise for these performers and thus had high expectations,

NEW for 2010

In 2010, the solo wing walk routine will be offered in a
skirt-droppin' comedy version, as well:
Your crowd will gasp as they see our wing walker have a costume malfunction when her skirt takes a flight of its own, revealing her bright pink bloomers in all their glory.  When she enters the cockpit and realizes she’s been performing in her underwear, she’ll need the crowd’s encouragement to get her back out of the cockpit and finish the performance.  Think your crowd is up to the challenge?

This routine can be performed as a full-length act or as a 5-minute teaser.

Your crowd will be stunned as Jenny drops into the Daring Javelin Hang - a stunt not performed since the 1980s.  This stunt is currently unique to the American Barnstormer team and its affiliated wing walkers.

Barnstormers in Motion:
As noted above, your airshow audience will witness the American Barnstormer wing walker(s) actually in motion as they transition from one stunt to another, or from one place on the plane to another.  This video gives a brief sampling of what your spectators will experience...
